iPhone and AT&T no longer in monogamous relationship?

The internet is already buzzing over the possible introduction of an Apple tablet computer. Now, there are rumors of another sort that, if true, would really shake up the world of mobile devices.
The rumor is that the iPhone may not want an exclusive relationship with AT&T and may want to start dating other carriers.
This rumor comes from a supposed "Apple insider".
So, if this is true, who else would carry the iPhone. Most bets are on Verizon.
Personally, I like the iPhone but would not want to have to go through AT&T to have one. I guess all will be revealed this Wednesday.
