Netbook Sales rise
Many, even some companies that are now making them, mocked the concept of a netbook. It was said that they were too small, underpowered and, basically, a joke. However, that didn't stop me and millions of other folks from buying one. Sure, they don't replace a desktop or laptop but, they were never meant to do that. They are great on-the-go computers that help you do simpler tasks without having to lug around a heavier notebook.
Well, there's even more crow being eaten, today. It has been projected that netbook sales could nearly double this year, with expected sales of 33 million units worldwide. Conversely, notebook sales are expected to remain flat. While there are other factors as to why netbook sales are growing vs. notebook sales, one thing seems clear. Netbooks are eating in the notebook marketshare as people opt to make their secondary PC a netbook.
